Hymn Melodies For Violin and Cello, Volume II is a beautiful volume of hymns combining the bright, sparkling sounds of the Violin with the deep and rich tones of the Cello! It contains 15 very well-known Christian hymns, with the violin part having three verses of difficulty — easy, medium, then hard.

Volume II is substantially more challenging than Volume I for the violinist. All third verse harmony parts contain running 16th note passages, using higher positions. This volume is geared for violinists in at least the end of Suzuki book 5 or the beginning of book 6. Many third verse melody parts go up an octave; so, the violinist should be able to shift to 3rd position.
