This Urtext edition includes three different engravings of the bass part which allows for four different tuning/key combinations: Standard "orchestra" tuning in C major or D major, Solo Tuning in D major, or "Viennese" tuning in D major. The piano reduction is then included twice - in D major, and in C major. The "Viennese Tuning" bass part includes Roman Numerals under the staff to always clarify which string is to be played on for any given note. Foreword and scholarly notations included.
