Good Experience

It is very good! I always buy the string on sharmusic, and I really like it. It has very fast delivery and bright sounds on the string. I will buy it again!

Excellent strings

PI are excellent, very long lasting strings. They do have a short break-in period, at least on my violin, where they “grunt” a bit. This goes away in a couple days.
I play professionally, and have used Obligato, and Evah Pirrazi strings over the decades. I love the Obligato sound, but with stand partners that blast, they are just not loud enough. The Evah Pirazzi are super loud, and exceptionally shrill for the first couple weeks, and become false within three months or so. The PI strings are a good compromise. They have a pleasant sound, are loud enough, and are long lasting.

Never buy a PI String set A!

The PI Strings were 240 USD in 2020. In 2023, they are 131 USD. Why? Well, everyone, it turns out that the D, G, and E strings are fantastic. The best in the business. But A string is a dud. No resonance, no tone quality. You can't record, you can't play on a mike, unless you're somewhere where no one knows anything about a violin. 131 USD wasted (I bought the full set). The A String Is Total Crap. Next time, just go for a Vision Titanium Solo set, less cash, playable in studios, brilliant on mikes. At least those are reliable. I am absolutely furious with Shar Music for allowing substandard products to be listed and sold at such high prices. Sorry. This is not what I thought you were about. Until today, all my experience was positive. Talk about a waste of hard-earned savings!
