Each song is preceded by exercises intended to help the student both improve in technique as well as learn the unique style of that song and mariachi in general. An accompaniment CD is included, which is invaluable for solo practice. The objective of this book is to have students sounding completely at home with the unique style by the end, and be able to blend in with a professional mariachi band. This book can easily be combined with books for other instruments, making a variety of ensembles possible.
