I am enjoying this Combo Tuner Metronome very much!
I haven't used the TM-60 a lot, but it works as designed (for a tuner) ... didn't test out the metronome option. Works my rented violin but not for my bagpipes (top pitch is 480 and pipes tune to 484 (or higher)) so I will eventually need to purchase a tuner for my pipes.
I bought the Korg TM-60 Combo Tuner Metronome for a student. Being a cello teacher for fifty years, I have owned a Dr Beat for most of that time, and know the importance of squaring up fast notes which tend to get rushed, uneven, and just plain sloppy. On our first lesson, it demonstrated to my student she was uneven on fast notes, and immediately evened out her Bach. It also has a tuner which plays all the notes - so on an F# major scale, you can tune your scale to the
F# which is being held audibly. Also I like the volume control for the beats, which can often be an annoyance if too loud or too soft. My Dr. Beat cost me $150.00
in the back in the 1980’s. This does everything and more for forty dollars. Quite impressed!
Thank you Shar
The tuner function is accurate and easy to use, making it a breeze to tune your instrument. The metronome function is also great, with a variety of tempo and rhythm options to choose from.
I love how compact and portable the Korg Combo Tuner Metronome is. It's small enough to fit in my gig bag, so I can take it with me wherever I go.
