Trial Period: The Trial Period is 10 days from receipt.

Place of Trial: The ship-to address on the customer trial order.

Return of Property: Customer and Shar Music agree that Shar Music will loan the Products above to Customer for possible purchase by the Customer during the Trial Period. After the Trial Period, Customer can either purchase the Products or Return the Products in the same condition the Products were received. The Customer acknowledges that the Products remain the sole property of Shar Music until they are paid for in full by the Customer. All returns must be made within ten days of the end of the Trial Period. For any late returns, Customer will be charged a late fee per day unless Shar Music approves an extension of the Trial Period.

Deposit: The Customer must pay a deposit fee if noted next to the Product. This deposit is a security deposit and it will be refunded to Customer when the Products are returned without damage. 
Repairs: All repairs and/or adjustments must be done only by Shar Music unless the Customer purchases the Products or after receiving approval from Shar Music while on trial. Customer will have sole responsibility to pay for the cost of repair if there is damage resulting from Customer’s negligence or Customer’s failure to properly care for the Products.

Risk of Loss: The Customer will be responsible for the Products from the date of receipt until it is returned to Shar Music. The Customer will bear the risk of loss and damage to the products while in possession during the Trial Period. On return, if the Products are damaged, Shar Music will charge Customer for such damage and issue a damage invoice to Customer. If the Products are not returned, Customer will be responsible for the retail value of the Products.

Credit Card Authorization: By entering into this agreement, Customer herby authorizes Shar Music to charge any active credit card on file for any past due payments. Credit card chargeback fee is $40.00. Customer authorizes Shar Music to add on a credit card processing fee at our option. It is Customer's responsibility to notify Shar of any credit card or billing information change to avoid the chargeback fee. 

Email Opt-In: By supplying us with Customer’s email address, Customer has agreed to receive promotional messages via email. Shar Music does not sell or share this information. 

Governing Law: This At-Home Trial Agreement will be governed by and construed according to the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute regarding terms or enforcement must be brought in Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Remedies: If Customer is in default of this agreement, the cost of the Products will immediately become due. If Shar Music institutes any legal proceeding against Customer to recover any of the Property, Shar Music shall have a right to recover from Customer actual attorney fees, collection fees, and court costs incurred by Shar Music in connection with the proceeding.

Very Good Instrument

I got this instrument in 2021 after trying it out with two other instruments and decided that it had the best sound of the three I had tried. I still do not regret my decision with getting this instrument! It has an incredible sound and holds its own even in orchestra settings with professionals and grad students. I'd highly recommend this instrument to anyone who needs an upgrade from a beginner or intermediate violin!

This is an excellent violin

This violin is more then I could have hoped for. I tried two of them side by side through the Shar trial program. I also tried a Stringworks Karl Bartok and a Gliga Gem1 and this violin blew them all away in every respect. The quality of the antiquing and the sound quality and is just superb. I also tried several bows with this violin and decided to buy a Klaus Becker bow through Shar as well This was another great buy and I have not once regretted either purchase. If you are considering a Karl Joseph Schnider Premier artist do your self a favor and order it. You dont have anything to loose with their trial service. I just realized I sound like a commercial for Shar and this violin but it is very exciting to find an instrument that you love so much.

Owning a fine violin like this one for over 12 yea

I have my KJ Schneider going on now 12 years. I bought this fine instrument through Shar when I was 12 years old, and now I am 24 with the same violin and bow playing strong! Thank you Shar for making this happen.

Better than my teacher's

The Shar rep. played several violins for me when I bought this in Sept. 2004 and I knew this was "the one" as soon as he started playing it. My violin teacher, who plays professionally, looked it over when I brought it back home and said, "you're the first student I've ever had with a better sounding violin than mine." I switched the Dominant strings to Infield Red for a warmer sound.

A Simply Great Violin

I have to agree with the previous reviewer this violin is fantastic. The tone is perfect, it doesn't even have to open up, it sounds fantastic already. I tried the KJS Premier Artist, Kallo Bartok, and the Gliga Maestro too and came to the same conclusion, the KJS was the superior violin by a pretty wide gap. Unfortunately I had to return it because $2,400 is just too much money for me, but if you have it and can spend that much on a violin don't hesitate to try this one out, you won't be disspointed. I settled for a Gliga Maestro, but my heart belongs with this violin.
