H.R. Wilhelm™ Premier

The H. R. Wilhelm Premier line of bows is our most recent addition to our extensive bow collection. The strength of stick and agile feel work together to create a bow that has a powerful tone, yet is easy to control in more difficult passages. These bows are meticulously crafted in Germany using excellent quality Pernambuco. Offered with either silver or nickel mountings, these bows are a great fit in the hands of a serious student seeking to make the most out of their current instrument. .

Do you need a new bow? Most players, regardless of skill level, eventually come to the realization that a new bow would be beneficial to their technical and musical development. If your current bow feels like it slips and skates on the surface of the string... if you have a hard time producing more than just a few tone colors... if your off-the-string bowings are noisy and hard to control, then you should consider trying different bows. Please call one of our specialists, all string players, to discuss the Shar In-Home Trial Program: 866-742-7270.

Beautifully balanced and responsive bow.

I've had this bow for two years now, so I've had plenty of time to evaluate it. I purchased it after an in-home trial. As soon as I tried this bow I knew that it was the right one for me. It's beautifully balanced and allows me to draw a rich sound from my violin. It feels like an extension of my arm and all movement feels comfortable from frog to tip. I find that its balance and responsiveness makes it easy to perform techniques such as spicatto. It was a major upgrade from my student bow. I'm so glad that I chose this bow and the Shar Music in-home trial was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend.

Strong, voluminous, rich

This bow is what I was looking for. It will stay with me as I learn strokes that are more demanding of the bow. String crossings are as if you never crossed. They are smooth and even - probably due to the solidity and balance of the bow. No rolling action
on the stick, and the hairs stay an appropriate distance from the center of the stick - even with increased finger pressure. Nice, straight stroke. No wobbly actions. This bow will keep me honest! It allows my violin to sing and resonant with a rich warmth.
