Trial Period: The Trial Period is 10 days from receipt.

Place of Trial: The ship-to address on the customer trial order.

Return of Property: Customer and Shar Music agree that Shar Music will loan the Products above to Customer for possible purchase by the Customer during the Trial Period. After the Trial Period, Customer can either purchase the Products or Return the Products in the same condition the Products were received. The Customer acknowledges that the Products remain the sole property of Shar Music until they are paid for in full by the Customer. All returns must be made within ten days of the end of the Trial Period. For any late returns, Customer will be charged a late fee per day unless Shar Music approves an extension of the Trial Period.

Deposit: The Customer must pay a deposit fee if noted next to the Product. This deposit is a security deposit and it will be refunded to Customer when the Products are returned without damage. 
Repairs: All repairs and/or adjustments must be done only by Shar Music unless the Customer purchases the Products or after receiving approval from Shar Music while on trial. Customer will have sole responsibility to pay for the cost of repair if there is damage resulting from Customer’s negligence or Customer’s failure to properly care for the Products.

Risk of Loss: The Customer will be responsible for the Products from the date of receipt until it is returned to Shar Music. The Customer will bear the risk of loss and damage to the products while in possession during the Trial Period. On return, if the Products are damaged, Shar Music will charge Customer for such damage and issue a damage invoice to Customer. If the Products are not returned, Customer will be responsible for the retail value of the Products.

Credit Card Authorization: By entering into this agreement, Customer herby authorizes Shar Music to charge any active credit card on file for any past due payments. Credit card chargeback fee is $40.00. Customer authorizes Shar Music to add on a credit card processing fee at our option. It is Customer's responsibility to notify Shar of any credit card or billing information change to avoid the chargeback fee. 

Email Opt-In: By supplying us with Customer’s email address, Customer has agreed to receive promotional messages via email. Shar Music does not sell or share this information. 

Governing Law: This At-Home Trial Agreement will be governed by and construed according to the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute regarding terms or enforcement must be brought in Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Remedies: If Customer is in default of this agreement, the cost of the Products will immediately become due. If Shar Music institutes any legal proceeding against Customer to recover any of the Property, Shar Music shall have a right to recover from Customer actual attorney fees, collection fees, and court costs incurred by Shar Music in connection with the proceeding.

Amazing viola

I’ve had this viola for 10 years now. Currently, I am a violist in the New World Symphony and this viola has taken me quite far. I have won competitions on this instrument and have played it with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as a substitute violist. As I am on my new search for my next instrument, I have a deep appreciation and love for this Shar viola. All teachers and musicians who hear this viola think its in the 15k range and its a great instrument for beginners/intermediate players.

Great beautiful viola!

Me being a smaller person I ordered a 15 inch Viola. My parents actually bought it in 2012, and I used it throughout high school and half way through my college music education.
When I bought it, my Viola teacher liked it so much that she bought one for her son at a bigger size .
I was 14 years old when I bought it and I used it until I was 20. The finishing was absolutely beautiful throughout the years and it has a strong lower sound for the C and string which I always liked.
And although I played it basically every day there was no wear or tear on my instrument, it lasted, and didn’t easily get scratched which I have noticed recently with some of my string students that have bought Violins and violas from other locations that The varnishing in other places is very thin on the top, where as Shar does a very good job with their varnishing which is important if you want to have an instrument that will last and stay beautiful.
I took good care of it and always enjoyed playing it.
Then I was able to upgrade it through the trading option that shar gives you which is a big plus! Thanks shar!

So happy with viola

My granddaughter has been thrilled with the viola we purchased from Shar. It has beautiful tone. She carries it to school every day in its heavy wooden case, and even took it to camp last summer!

Wonderful Instrument

I was looking for a viola to replace my step-up 16" instrument. I wanted something with plenty of depth and power which would not overtax my left fourth finger. This (15-1/2") Tertis viola gives me just what I want: a deep, warm sound with a buttery low
range and good response up high. It's also supremely comfortable to play. Although not a large instrument, it yields good volume. My friends love it too. It was a tremendous find, especially at this price.

Amazing viola!

This viola has an amazing, rich, and deep tone. I have the 16.5 version of this, and the picture does it no justice; it is simply a beautiful viola. It is great for college students, like myself, who are ready to take their musical studies to the next level. The response is outstanding, I would recommend this viola to anyone interested.
