American Case Company™ Eagle Double Violin Case

Have owned other American Case products long term, and upon initial receipt this one didn't disappoint. Well-made, great features, no annoying/unnecessary details either. Hygrometer and vapor bottle a nice touch (and the hygrometer isn't some $1 electronic junk as you'll find with other cases...). Everything nice and secure. And you could put shoulder rests in the outside zip. As a Physics teacher I wish the case were a tiny bit bigger allowing a little more padding (J = f delta t) so yes, it seems a tight fit, but the foam is compressible.

I got this case many years ago, but only started using it recently now that I bring my baroque violin around with me. It works, but for my violins, it is a VERY tight squeeze. In fact, it is such a tight squeeze that I cannot fit my two violins in the opposite spots from where they rest currently. My particular case also has a problem where the lip of the zipper gets caught inside when I close it. I only remember when I can zip it after closing the latch. Overall, it works pretty well, BUT it may not fit your violins! Make sure your have your instruments that intend to store in this case ready to try in case you need to return it.

I’ve owned this case for five years now. I’ve traveled with it a bunch, gigged with it a ton, and it’s stood the test of time. Very durable and hardy. The handle is peeling a tiny bit, but I lived in a desert climate for a couple of those years and that’s pretty much par for the course. And, I absolutely love that it’s very nearly the size of a single case and you can fit bows in there comfortably. It can fit in those airplane overhead bins with no trouble at all - even the small ones! Thank you Shar - I’ll be buying another one when this one finally wears out (probably in ten years from now)!
