Fear Series: Violin Hickeys

Some have a fear of the mark that the violin or viola can make where the instrument meets their neck, or the violin/viola hickey. Although that is completely normal, you can help protect your sensitive skin while playing. Keeping your instrument and chinrest barrels clean and/or using a cloth or pad covering between you and the instrument are a couple of ways you can protect your neck. Your teacher will be sure to have some ideas as well.
