Franz Hoffmann Amadeus Violin

Recommended for Beginners trying violin to see if they like it. An affordable alternative to a V.S.O. "Violin Shaped Object" that hinders new players success and discourages them from continuing.

As any teacher will tell you, a violin for a beginning student must function flawlessly and play with ease, producing a pleasant sound. The Amadeus does just that and has gone through a three step quality inspection process before you receive it.

Visually appealing, the Amadeus is made of quality maple, spruce and ebony. The hand feel is very smooth, and the sound is enhanced by Overture Premium strings and a carbon fiber tailpiece with 4 built-in fine tuners. The bridge is accurately carved, and the pegs turn smoothly. Made in China, inspected in our Ann Arbor workshop. Available in 4/4 - 1/16 sizes.

Amazing customer service!

We had an issue with the violin 🎻 my daughter had. Shar replaced it so fast. I was told to buy everything we needed from them because they take good care of their customers. And the teacher was right!! We are very happy with our purchases.

Beat the amazon violin by far

I brought the first one from amazon for my son and it does not stay in tune at all. This violin surprised us when we received, beautiful sound and finish. Thank you!

Poor qualit

All my students who have purchased this new have had troubles with strings staying in tune. I am not very pleased with the quality of the tone of this instrument. Paying a little more and getting the Prelude model is very worthwhile.

A decent starter

I bought this violin in a 1/2 size for my daughter. Since I wasn't sure if she would even like playing the violin, I didn't want to spend too much at first. While the Visions strings that came with this violin were way to shrill, we switched to D'Addario Prelude, which are steel, but have a much warmer tone.
While this is obviously "lower" level instrument, we have had no problems with it. Her violin seldom needs much major tuning and now that she is playing in tune a little better, the sound of the violin is smooth and mellow.
Now, after a year of lessons, I'm ready to upgrade her to a better instrument, but do not regret this as our starter violin.
