A note for teachers and school families. If you're outfitting a beginning student, the instrument outfits include everything needed to start playing: instrument, bow, case and rosin. If you're placing a larger order for a studio or school program, our school team can help — schools@sharmusic.com.
Looking for our biggest sale of the year? Our Labor Day Sale runs in early September, timed to when lessons resume. Sign up for email or text alerts and we'll let you know before it starts.
Shar Music has served string players since 1962 from our Ann Arbor, Michigan showroom. Every instrument we ship is inspected and set up by our workshop before it leaves the building. Availability is limited to stock on hand.
Labor Day Sale — Frequently Asked Questions
The sale covers select products across most of our catalog: instruments and outfits, sheet music and method books, strings, cases, rosin, shoulder rests, learning aids, metronomes and tuners, and repair parts such as bridges, tailpieces and pegs. Not every item in every category is discounted — the collections linked above show exactly what's included.
Sale pricing runs while supplies last. Quantities on some items are limited, and once a discounted item sells out it may not be restocked at the sale price. If there's something you've been waiting on, we'd suggest not leaving it until the last day.

Expedited options (Next Day and 2 Day) are available at checkout if you order before 12pm ET.
In-stock items ship the next business day when your order is placed by 2pm ET, Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Standard shipping typically arrives in 2 to 10 business days depending on your location. Backordered items ship as soon as they arrive. If you're local, you can also choose pickup at our Ann Arbor showroom.
