Toshira Oblong Violin Case

Took me a few minutes to figure out the latch since it is so cheaply made and doesn’t move well. I doubt it would last, but I won’t get to find out because my 4/4 instrument will not fit safely. The neck is held very high, and the fit around the body is too tight for my liking. I only needed a short term solution since I am selling this instrument and a latch on its old case broke. I literally just need something that won’t dump it out in the parking lot while I transport it to the luthier. Returning and sadly will be looking elsewhere, since Shar does not have free return shipping.

It was easy to get a new case. I have depended on Shar since the 1970s.

The Toshira Oblong violin case is a lightweight case of acceptable quality, very much in line with its price. It meets the needs of a student; it is not luxurious nor made with the highest quality materials. It is simply a case that fulfills its function, made with lightweight materials of decent quality. It's very good for students who need to acquire an affordable and nice-looking case.

It’s just ok. You get what you paid for. Right after I ordered it, I thought I should have upgraded. It was only $69 and it shows. The case has two small compartments that don’t entirely close. I’m also not fond of the way the bows clip into the lid. It’s better than my old case, though.

This is a nice quality case! My daughter is happy with it.
