Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Violin String Set - 4/4 Size - Medium Gauge - Loop E

As a recreational player, and one who revisited the violin after 37 years away from it, I wanted to try strings to replace the steel set I had. I thought I wanted a warm sound but after trying 6 different sets, I found that the bright and direct tone of Evahs is what makes my instrument sing. The clarity has helped me regain my ear for intonation. Response is excellent, as is the power and projection. I had read that these rather expensive strings go false quickly but although the “new string” character did fade, I have been using a set of Evahs for nearly a year, playing about 2 hours daily and only now seem to need replacing. I would recommend these strings highly.

The price was also reasonable, but the most important is that these strings were fresh—unlike with some other places that send you old strings. You can tell that Shar Music has a good flow of items, nothing has been in a stock for too long. Thank you!

I have ordered my Evah Pirazzi violin strings from Shar for many years now, and I have always been satisfied with the product and the delivery service . Unfortunately, in this case, the day after I received the strings , I received an email from Shar that these strings were going on sale ( not mentioned by the customer service representative to whom I spoke). That said, Shar has been my go-to violin supply source for over 3 decades.
