O'Connor, Mark - Miniatures for Violin and Piano - Piano Score - Digital Download

Miniatures (for violin and piano) composed by Mark OConnor was written in 1989 for his Warner Bros. Album "On The Mark." Mr. OConnor composed the piece for his good friend and pianist John Jarvis to play with him. The two of them had recorded on many albums as session musicians in Nashville together, but this is the only duet they ever played together during that time. It is one of those pieces by OConnor that "sticks with you" after one listens to it. The music has a unique combination of classical/popular and gospel overtones that gives an irresistible and haunting quality to the tune.
