I had a Luther install my first Baggs Violin pickup about 17 years ago. Has NEVER had a problem. The technology is pretty straightforward, so it hasn’t changed very much with the new one. Same Luther shaped the bridge, adjusted the length of the pick up wire, and I was good to go with the other Violin! In addition look to spend $80 to have the generic bridge shaped and thinned, wire cut-to-fit.
I use the wireless XVive transmitter/receiver for keeping it all portable and without chance of monitor feedback.
Several pros that I talked to recommended this pickup. It's high-feedback resistance is just icing on the cake, because it sounds really good. Much better than I was expecting. Get a preamp to help balance the signal and help with the EQ. The only downside is that it is a new bridge, so you'll have to pay to get it installed, and the luthier will have to leave it a little thicker than normal to avoid damaging the internal pickup components. This seemed to dampen my acoustic sound, but that's the price you pay to be able to amp up. Oh, get it installed by someone who is familiar with the product, it will go a lot smoother. Remember, this is essentially a $130 bridge.
