The Kun Bravo: Iconic Kun Design, Crafted of Fine European Maple

Ingenious multi-layered hardwood flamed maple laminate design maintains Kun's iconic, elegant and comfortable shape, while providing strength and a degree of flexibility. The polished brass fittings and handsome wood finish combine for an attractive finish where form follows function. Basically identical to the design and shape of the Kun Original. Expertly crafted in Italy from fine European maple. Each Bravo rest comes with attractive brown velvet drawstring bag.

"It's the sound improvement that makes the Bravo so attractive. Since I have used the Bravo, my violin sounds much more brilliant . . . I had one of my colleagues try it and she was so amazed she immediately bought a Bravo. Her Bernardel now sounds twice as brilliant as before" -Marc Philipps, Metz France

got the wrong one

I'm sure it's lovely - but I meant to get the viola one, not the violin one. And man is CS snippy! A simple question (based on what many other companies do for their customers) asked curiously and nicely, resulted in a reprimand as to how it was my fault that I ordered the wrong one and how I clearly didn't want it and thus it wasn't an exchange... sigh... I already felt terrible that I had gotten the wrong thing for my son accidentally, geez. I'm entirely turned off - I actually went and paid $5 extra elsewhere just to at least guarantee kinder customer service.

Kun Bravo

Very comfortable and easy to adjust. I like the solid wooden frame of this shoulder rest. Quite pricey but it's worth it.

great sound!

It produces an amazing sound. The only problem I have is that it's too high for me. I gave it 5 stars anyway because the problem is me not the shoulder rest

Kin Bravo

Great shoulder rest but heavier than the original Kun and the feet donít hold as well. The shoulder rest fell off and the brass part dinged my violin back. Be careful to fit properly or get the original/super Kun. Sound is no different IMO.

Same great shape and comfort... but different padding?

I recently purchased my second KUN Bravo... my first was retired after 10 years of near constant use from high school through conservatory through the beginning of my career. The padding had worn down - albeit so gradually that I only noticed when I borrowed a friend's violin and felt their thick comfortable padding - and didn't feel the wooden edges. "Hey.... wait a minute! One of these things is not like the other..." So I bought a new one. It was bliss... for about a month. Then the foam started to break off in chunks at the ends of the rest and in the middle where it contacts my shoulder. CHUNKS. What on earth? Did KUN make changes? Are they using some new, cheaper foam padding? A few months later, and there have been no new foam-bergs breaking off... but it's wearing very, very fast. I love this rest - it's comfortable, it doesn't fall off my violin, it's elegant - but I hate that it's not holding up as well as the first one.
