Steel strings from Denmark since 1956
Handmade is a word that can be used less and less often today. Yet in Copenhagen there is a family-owned company that upholds a tradition for world class handmade strings.
At Jargar we don't consider ourselves a part of the string industry. We practice string craft. Our skilled string makers each finish about 60 perfect strings a day - with a care, dedication and professional pride that produces the unique and characteristic warm and brilliant sound of our strings.
I used to use a Larsen Soloist Strong A, because I have a cello that is more quiet and resonant— perfect for orchestras and chamber music, but not so good for solo performances. This is not only less expensive but easier to play with the same amount of volume.
A great classic option for most cellos. (at less cost than other popular A strings)
