This Baerenreiter Urtext edition of four works for cello and piano contains Variations Concertantes (opus 17), Romance sans paroles (opus 109), Assai Tranquillo, and Variationen (Mendelssohn/Merk), and is volume 1 of Barenreiter's "Complete Works" series of Mendelssohn pieces. It includes nine pages of "Preface" in English, and 6 pages of "Critical Report", making it extremely thorough and accurate. It also includes both the separate cello part and the full piano score. It does not include any finger markings in either part.
