"This violin will allow advancing small students to make rapid progress with tone development and fast passage. Its powerful and rich tone will delight and surprise a deserving student, especially one who has grown used to the limitations of their present violin."
- Charles AvSharian, Shar CEO
"Why do I love the Lamberti violins? Because they allow my students to have a bright, clear-sounding instrument that both projects and is very sweet to the ear. Parents will enjoy hearing their child practice all afternoon on this violin and so will the student."
- Rebecca Appert, Violinist, Teacher

I bought the 4/4 in 2021 for a young clumsy player newbie (mostly because I am a tone snob and don’t do well with the beginner class violin tones). I am very pleased with this instrument’s sound. I procrastinated on new strings which we just replaced (2023). The tone is rich and very beautiful. The bow has held up well considering my child is the type to habitually forget to wash their hands and drops on occasion. I recently purchased a carbon fiber bow with new string set and I am happy with the continued rich sound. The instrument has held up well- it keeps tune- AND sounds GREAT for a low cost instrument.
I bought a Carlos Lamberto violin for my sister not even 1 year ago and the sound post has fallen down and the bow hair completely detached from the bow at the tip. The violin itself isn’t bad, but for $765 dollars I expected for it to at least stay together for another year. I got another from another seller for cheaper, yet it has a sweeter sound with more projection. I highly advise people to avoid buying violins from Shar Music. Buying other things like strings or mutes is ok, but please buy your violin elsewhere such as DZ Strad. I even posted a review on Shar Music about the violin and the bow, but unfortunately it seems like they deleted it because 5 minutes later, I return to the website and it’s gone. I will never be buying violin or bows from here again.
I understand this is a student violin, but I expected more. I bought this violin for my sister not even 1 year ago and the sound post has fallen down and the bow hair completely detached from the bow at the tip. The first day I got the violin, the bow already had issues; it wouldn’t tighten enough to the proper amount. The screw of the bow wouldn’t tighten enough, but at the time I didn’t think it was a big deal so I didn’t file a complaint. The violin itself isn’t bad, but for $765 dollars I expected it to at least stay together for another year. I got another violin for myself from another seller for cheaper, yet it has a sweeter sound with more projection than the Carlos Lamberti Sonata violin. I expected to get my moneys worth when I bought this violin outfit, but unfortunately the quality of the bow and the violin wasn’t up to my expections. If I could back in time, I would have bought a violin outfit from another seller for cheaper because there are better violins out there. Advice for other potential buyers: please consider researching more in depth when buying a violin.
Not knowing anything about violins, I bought this violin based on a recommendation from a very talented violinist I know. I don’t play it, but my wife does and she loves it.
We just received and my son is already in love with this violin. Nice case, sweet sound; looks premium grade.
