About G. Henle Verlag
G. Henle Verlag was founded in Munich on 20 October 1948 by Gunter Henle, specialising from the outset in Urtext editions of classical music. The catalogue focuses on composers from the Baroque to the early twentieth century. Alongside sheet music, Henle publishes scholarly complete editions, books and reference works, and since 2016 has offered its Urtext editions digitally through the Henle Library app.
The blue cover has been part of the edition since 1948 and is one of the most recognisable in classical publishing. Gunter Henle set the house standard from the beginning: clear and precise engraving, balanced page layout, legible type.

Yes. Henle has offered its Urtext editions in digital form through the Henle Library app for iOS and Android since 2016.
