Purchased this 1/4 violin for my 6 year old son who has been playing for a year. I am an orchestra teacher and was very excited to see this instrument at such a great price, as I’ve purchased other blemished instruments from Shar and they’ve always been great. This instrument, however, is VERY scratched up. I knew it wouldn’t be a new instrument, but was honestly very surprised at the amount of scratches were on this instrument. I was preparing myself for a couple scratches, but was disappointed with the look of it (the back of the instrument looks like someone had carved crosses into it.
