Nilton Studio Music Stand - Made in Sweden - Stand Only

Ive had my Nilton stand over 17 years..This is a terrific music stand that stands up to the 3-5 lb gig books we use for our string quartets & trios, (the wire stands cannot). My only complaint, which gives it my rating of A-, is that the top clasp does not hold under the weight of these books (it will hold the extension with regular music). No problems with the lower clasp or the feet clasp. The stand itself is very light weight & packs/unpacks easily. The desk allows me to place 3 pages side by side with only a couple inches hanging out over the edges. Plus I can make markings in my music with the solid surface. I really like the tilt feature of the desk. One can also adjust the feet to really wide position for more stability in windy conditions. The 2 loop carrying case is still in new condition, in spite of over 17 years of abuse. I would recommend this stand to anyone.

The stand works very well and looks much classier than a folding stand. The plastic rim around the desk started coming loose after a year or two, so I have to stick it back on again when I want the stand to look its best. Other than that it's holding up well. It's a bit awkward to carry around on a bicycle, backpack, or to attach to a case because of its size.

It's a bit awkward to carry on a bicycle and doesn't fit in a case or backpack because of its size. The bag is a good size for carrying music. The one it came with started falling apart pretty quickly but after a few years I ordered a new one, which has been much better.

this is the best stand I have ever used. It has lasted for 30 years or more. I have used it for outdoor weddings, practicing, and with my students. I have another stand that is a metal fold up. Dealing with the open back when I need to write on the page
is difficult. I use the Nilton most of the time. I did replace the bag about 10 years ago. I am ordering a new one because the fasteners no longer work. It wis well worth the cost.

Ive had my Nilton stand for nearly 17 years now, and the only problem Ive ever had with it is the rubber stop on the top clamp is a little weak so I have to leave the clamps open when I store the stand. I use it both for both playing and conducting the variable angle desk is a necessary feature. Its taken a ton of abuse. The wood desk still looks good )except where I dinged it on a wall!(, and the base is nearly as sturdy as when it was new. I love this stand!
