Easy to install on any stringed instrument, including violin, viola, cello, bass, mandolin and even guitar! Just thread the pickup under the lowest and highest strings, right below the bridge. Simply plug into your amp with the 11.5 foot cable and start playing. Can be quickly removed to use on another instrument or when you don't want it in the way for pure acoustic performance.

Perfect solution

Can't believe how great these are.. bought for string players in our church to eliminate mics that pick up room noise and muddy the mix.. easy on and off, doesn't dampen the instrument at the player's ear (maybe very slightly, but nothing like bridge pickups.. no one would want to attach and remove those anyway).. Sound quality is really good, I wouldn't record a classical solo with one but they are perfect for getting an excellent mix with plenty of control over signal processing.

Fabulous, no damage pickup!

I purchased this pickup around 8 or so years ago. It still works beautifully! The ribbon threads between strings behind the bridge, with no damage to instruments. I have used it on violin, viola and cello and all work very well. The cable has a 1/4” connector on the other end, ready to go directly into a DI box or mixer. Personally, I connect into an LR Baggs DI box. The only drawback is that it is mainly for hard wire use only; it doesn’t work well with beltpacks as you need a connector to transition from 1/4” to the beltpack. I have other styles of pickups I use when I’m wanting wireless ability. I have loaned this to the various musicians to put on their fine, acoustic instruments, and all have raved about the excellent sound quality with no instrument damage or loss of sound quality. Because the pickup does not attach to the body nor to the bridge, the acoustic sound is able to be fully realized and resonate freely. I highly recommend this pickup!

great sound quality

This I have found to be a nice pickup...I have a very excellent cello set up, (France, 1919) and was always concerned about putting something between the body of the cello and the bridge, loosening the strings, repositioning the bridge, etc, etc...this is nice and compact, transportable, and the sound quality is excellent...I am very very happy with this product and recommend it highly to someone who would like to have amplification without any chance of damage to the instrument...

nice pickup - even sound

i like this pickup better than my fishman that installs by being wedged into the bridge foot's opening. using the mighty mini, the sound is more even across the whole range of the instrument. the only inconvenience is that if the mini max is installed but not in use, what do you do with the cable? i'll figure it out - wind it up and stick it under the shoulder rest, or keep taking it off whenever it's not in use. also, i have to check every time to make sure the sound guy doesn't leave the adapter in the PA when unplugging me. as long as i remember to check, it's ok. why not make this pickup with a regular output jack since isn't that what most people need? but despite these 2 minor incoveniences, this pickup is worth it because it sounds better. evenly amplifies across the whole range of the instrument.
