Ingles Instrument Stand - for Cello/Bass

I chose this stand to keep a cello safe in a room with many potential hazards. It has protected the cello well, and has the added benefit of being adjustable to leave the end pin out between practices, a major help.

Got this in Jan 2021. Have been using it for a 1/4 cello then moved to a 1/2. We’ve never put anything heavier on it. Just 2 days ago while my kid was playing one side of the supper suddenly broke. Good thing we didn’t have our cello on it at the time so no damage was done. But it’s so weird that this metal thing just decided to break of completely.
