Guarneri Ebony Violin Chinrest - Rounded Plate

I ordered one of these from Shar Music as an alternative to similar ones from sources in China. This one is made in India and is of good quality. One nice feature is that the attachment bracket is already installed on the chinrest. The alternative ones from China include the hardware and have the holes drilled in the chinrest, but you have to tap the holes in the chinrest with the correct diameter female threads and then install the hardware. Thus, I find the chinrest from Shar to be superior. The cost is a bit more, but well worth it as all you have to do is install it on the violin upon receipt. So, bottom line, I highly recommend it over the Chinese sourced alternatives.
