Trial Period: The Trial Period is 10 days from receipt.

Place of Trial: The ship-to address on the customer trial order.

Return of Property: Customer and Shar Music agree that Shar Music will loan the Products above to Customer for possible purchase by the Customer during the Trial Period. After the Trial Period, Customer can either purchase the Products or Return the Products in the same condition the Products were received. The Customer acknowledges that the Products remain the sole property of Shar Music until they are paid for in full by the Customer. All returns must be made within ten days of the end of the Trial Period. For any late returns, Customer will be charged a late fee per day unless Shar Music approves an extension of the Trial Period.

Deposit: The Customer must pay a deposit fee if noted next to the Product. This deposit is a security deposit and it will be refunded to Customer when the Products are returned without damage. 
Repairs: All repairs and/or adjustments must be done only by Shar Music unless the Customer purchases the Products or after receiving approval from Shar Music while on trial. Customer will have sole responsibility to pay for the cost of repair if there is damage resulting from Customer’s negligence or Customer’s failure to properly care for the Products.

Risk of Loss: The Customer will be responsible for the Products from the date of receipt until it is returned to Shar Music. The Customer will bear the risk of loss and damage to the products while in possession during the Trial Period. On return, if the Products are damaged, Shar Music will charge Customer for such damage and issue a damage invoice to Customer. If the Products are not returned, Customer will be responsible for the retail value of the Products.

Credit Card Authorization: By entering into this agreement, Customer herby authorizes Shar Music to charge any active credit card on file for any past due payments. Credit card chargeback fee is $40.00. Customer authorizes Shar Music to add on a credit card processing fee at our option. It is Customer's responsibility to notify Shar of any credit card or billing information change to avoid the chargeback fee. 

Email Opt-In: By supplying us with Customer’s email address, Customer has agreed to receive promotional messages via email. Shar Music does not sell or share this information. 

Governing Law: This At-Home Trial Agreement will be governed by and construed according to the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute regarding terms or enforcement must be brought in Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Remedies: If Customer is in default of this agreement, the cost of the Products will immediately become due. If Shar Music institutes any legal proceeding against Customer to recover any of the Property, Shar Music shall have a right to recover from Customer actual attorney fees, collection fees, and court costs incurred by Shar Music in connection with the proceeding.

Upper Bout: 190mm

The back is of one piece of maple cut on the quarter of narrow width flame descending slightly from the left to right. The ribs are of similar maple. The scroll is of wider flamed maple. The top is of two pieces of spruce cut on the quarter of medium width grain narrowing at the flanks. The varnish is orange over a golden ground.

Erwin Hertel (b.1911 d.1985) began his studied at the age of 14 in Markneukirchen, Germany. At 19, Hertel travelled to the United States where he worked in Philadelphia. In 1945, he joined Emil Herrmann's shop in New York City where he studied with Simone Fernando Sacconi. Hertel established his shop on Long Island in 1952 where he made new instruments as well as restored those from great players such as Joseph Gingold and Benar Heifetz. In 1961, he opened a studio in Carnegie Hall to better serve travelling players. Hertel later moved to PIttsburgh where he established another shop and continued new making and restoration.
