I have used a plain viola Polly Mute for aout a year in collegiate orchestra. I like the tone fine and it is incredible quick to put on. I don't have to lift or settle the mute on the bridge, I just have to slide down against the bridge. I bought this bedazzled one because I misplaced my old one and wanted something fun. I expect that the crystals will stay secured because there is lots of glue and it is not necessary to touch the crystals when using the mute. A little bling, not too unprofessional for orchestra!
