wow, love this book
As a violin teacher, this book is a wonderful purchase, well preferable to rewriting easy shifting exercises for every young student ready to start shifting. Its purchase price makes using this book a no brainer. This book is wonderful, painlessly introducing shifting to young students not yet ready for more traditional shifting books (i.e. Intro to the Positions, Doflein 3, etc.) Seriously, one of the best books ever for young violin students. I've even used this book with a few middle-school aged students and adults. We laughed at the big notes, but after a week or two everybody was thrilled at their painlessly acquired shifting prowess and basic knowledge of third position notes.
