Flexible to moderately-flexible pernambuco stick; medium weight. Nickel-mounted ebony frog with Parisian eye and three part button; wire grip. Available in 1/2, 3/4, and 4/4 size.
Do you need a new bow? Most players, regardless of skill level, eventually come to the realization that a new bow would be beneficial to their technical and musical development. If your current bow feels like it slips and skates on the surface of the string... if you have a hard time producing more than just a few tone colors... if your off-the-string bowings are noisy and hard to control, then you should consider trying different bows.

My son tried out several bows at Shar and this was his favorite. He said it was a little heavier than some of the others but felt the best when using it. He prefers the wooden bows.
Great bow for the price! I could perform a wide variety of strokes with it - on and off the string. There was a bit more weight in the middle of the stick, and this allowed the opportunity for a great amount of power. Overall a wonderful bow!
I did a bow trial a few summers ago when Shar did a free one-month bow trial. Of the four I tried, this one was the best. I was playing Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture at the time and it was perfect for the 16ths and string-crossing sections. This bow is very versatile and a steal at it's current price. A must have.
This bow has great flexibility and produces a smooth sound. I recommend this bow to all my intermediate level students. It pairs well with the Carlo Lamberti violins.
