Learn to Play in the Orchestra was created to supplement the Learn to Play a Stringed Instrument method, though it is valuable to use in conjunction with any individual method. It focuses on concepts generally lacking in method books, namely musical history and appreciation in an effort to foster an understanding of style and musicianship. It also provides a great deal of ensemble repertoire, from duets and trios to full orchestra works. All the music included is well known and enjoyable classical repertoire.
