This copy of the 1740 ex-Heifetz Guarneri del Gesu is from the master's own hands and is an excellent example of modern craftsmanship, and possesses a brilliant, sweet tone that blends well in an ensemble. Beautifully flamed maple two piece back, with bold grain, descending from the center seam. Top is of straight, medium grained spruce. Tastefully shaded antique varnish in red-brown over a golden ground.

Master violin maker Scott Cao is one of the most decorated makers living today.
