A beautiful reproduction of a J.B. Guadgnini violin, from the respected Cremonese maker, Roberto Collini. This violin has a lush and clear tone, with fine projection and balance. Very clean and precise workmanship, typical of Collini. The back is of one piece of fine maple, with medium grain, configured diagonally. The top is of fine to medium straight grained spruce. Tastefully applied varnish in medium orange-red over a golden ground, with subtle antiquing.

Since graduating with highest honors from the International School of Violinmaking of Cremona, Roberto Collini has established himself in Cremona since 1983. Adding a bowmaker diploma in 1986, Collini is one of Cremona's most respected makers. Continually honing his considerable skills via training with established Italian masters, Collini has become well known for consistently being awarded top prizes in violinmaking competitions over a period of many years.
