About This Item

No need to painstakingly place tapes on the fingerboard. First Fret easily goes on in one piece and uses colored lines to show the first position finger positions. Less confusing for beginning students as it has only first position. You may use the 4/4 violin size for 14 viola, 3/4 violin for 13 viola and 1/2 violin for 12 viola. Don't Fret (item DFV) is a great alternative that shows all basic finger positions for students who are a bit more advanced.

Customer Questions

Question by:

  • KANDENCE CLOUD
  • JACKSON, TN

Asked On: 11/28/2018

Which fret indicator should I get for a 22inch violin? Thank you.

SHAR Answer:

Hello Kandence! Our First Frets are sold based off violin size. Very generally, a violin that is 22 inches long from endpin to scroll would likely be a 3/4 size, but you can ask your teacher or read the label on the inside to confirm. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
