Asked On: 04/18/2018

What sizes of viola can be used with this shoulder rest?

SHAR Answer:

The feet on this shoulder rest expand from 7.5 inches to 9 inches between the grippers, meaning they should fit on a viola with a lower bout width within that range. Since violas are not always standard dimensions, you will need to measure the lower bout of your instrument to be sure, not just go by the body length that is the designated size for most violas.
