Vivaldi, Antonio - Spring 4 Seasons E Major RV 269 For Violin and Piano URTEXT Published by Schott Music
"Springtime is upon us. The birds celebrate her return with festive song, and murmuring streams are softly caressed by the breezes." Vivaldi's four most famous violin concerti, known collectively as The Four Seasons, are programmatic pieces based on a series of sonnets of unclear origin (though it is often supposed that Vivaldi wrote them himself). The first of these is Spring, in which we hear bird songs, festive dancing, murmurs of thunder, and bagpipe strains. This edition for violin with piano reduction is edited by Simon Launchbury and Lionel Salter. Published by Schott Music. Difficulty: A5
