I know all of you think you need to get a case that will withstand a MACK Truck running over it.. but for me, a seasoned international traveller and professional, and Suzuki teacher on the go, I LOVE the Toshiras! BEST!!! Why? Who can argue with 2 1/2 pounds! Yes, I might replace the case every two years, but it's worth it just to not lug around extra weight.. It's so free and easy. The zippers are strong, No trouble with them. The only issue is the little thumb flaps might eventually wear off..(from serious use/abuse) but by then, I religate it to a student loaner instrument, and get a new Toshira! They're quite handsome, can't tell them from a more expensive piece of poundage. I love the oblong Toshira for everyday teaching on the go, and the Toshira dart inside my travel CUSHY. Plenty of room then, to pack clothing, CD's, wallets, wigs, whatever... Don't break your back with heavy cases!

I like the mid-price case we purchased. I needed 2 and was able to get different colors for the kids! The case for our 1/2 size violin was too small. Had to exchange for a larger one. Easy process. I'm late writing the review, and here we are 2 months into using them. My kids are meticulous about their instrument care. A spinner fell off both cases, same place. I will be contacting Shar after the holidays for replacements. Overall I like the cases is we can solve the issue of the spinners.

We bought this for my son's first violin. It is a very sturdy case and he loves that he got to choose the color (he chose blue interior and exterior). We love the pockets and rosin case. He loves that he has two bow spinners to choose from. It is a fantastic price for a great case. I have a daughter that will be starting violin next year and would like to see more color choices. A great addition would be backpack hooks and straps.

My students love these cases! Especially the backpack straps. They over all hold up well, protect the instrument and look pretty. Sometimes the bow spinners and velcro neck restraints don't last long with children that aren't as gentle. The nice thing is the price and protection of the instrument. I have never had a problem with any of the zippers.

We used 1/16 to 4/4 violin case at shar. I prefer TC100 than TC66 because 1) when lid is open, case swings back and forward. It is very dangerous for violin. TC100 is stable with open lid. 2) shoulder strap is junk. Strap is adjustable but it become to loose down when my kids are walking and bottom of case touches ground, and dragging the case finally. TC 100 strap is sewn directly and adjustment is tight. It locks where you decide.I don't case material or pocket but TC66's function itself is not enough for kids violin.

This is a great case for the price. If you're looking for a case and don't want to spend a ton of $$ then you should take a look at this one. I'm not sure how the longevity is but for the price, you can't go wrong. Very lightweight and easily opened. Opens easier than my BAM case!

Was good for a month. Then velcro neck strap padding came off. Then both zippers broke.

I can see people being wary of such an inexpensive violin case, but I ordered this knowing exactly what I was getting because a friend had given me one several months ago. If it weren't for that, I probably would have been too leery to order one. This is an excellent budget violin case. It is a snug fit for my fiddle, and one of my fiddles actually doesn't fit into it (even though it's a full size), because of a slightly larger body. This is fine with me, but I want to mention that to people who have a full size fiddle with slightly larger body. The case is lightweight, but sturdy. The handle is a lot sturdier than one would think for such an inexpensive case, and that is obviously very important. It comes with shoulder straps, but I cannot comment on them, as I have not used them. There is also a lot more storage room than one might expect from such an inexpensive case. The end compartment comfortably holds rosin, clip on tuner, and other small accessories. Shoulder rest fits comfortably under or over the neck of the fiddle. The most surprising quality of this case (to me), and a very important one is the bow holders. I've had many cases that were much more expensive than this one that had sharp edges on the bow holders. That is really bad, because the bow hair gets caught on and can break from those sharp edges. The holders on this case are smooth and actually beveled. I noticed this right away. Many cheap cases really stink (literally). Some stink like car exhaust, tar, or nasty rubber. This one has a slight odor, but nothing offensive, and nothing that didn't air out in time. I would recommend this case for fiddles that you aren't carrying around to outdoor festivals, gigs, etc a lot. I think it's best for light use. I can't speak to how well it would wear knocked around a lot. I also don't think it would be especially good for young children who tend to be hard on things. I actually ordered two of these cases during a sale, and I intended them for home use.

We got the 1/4-size case, and it is so light that my son actually wants to carry it to lessons. He also likes the backpack style. The only complaint I have is the strap buckles are at the top of the case so they cut into his back/shoulders a bit when he's wearing it as a backpack. (It does the same thing to me when I'm carrying it.) You would not want to wear it all day, but luckily we only carry it 40 feet or so each week. We are looking for pads to cushion it a bit.

We've purchased 2 of these cases and they have been in use for 4 months. They are lightweight, pretty, and the strap options are great! They come with backpack style straps and an over-the-shoulder option. My daughters really like them.

Great case, has nice interior and is nice looking. Bought one for myself and am looking at getting two more for students. would recommend to any beginner or advanced student.

Purchased a full-sized violin case. It holds everything it needs to hold. I did initially have trouble getting a full-size violin into the case. The portion of the case cut for the upper bout fits very tightly. I tried one more time before sending the case back and found the violin would fit in if I pushed a little more on it. It makes for a very snug fit.
