I bought Volumes 1 and 2 of Music for Two for myslef and husband to use for gigs (oboe/bassoon). The selections in these two volumes are great, especially for weddings. Some of the bass lines sound really strange though, like the one for Scheherezade in parts; we will probably have to make some changes to some of these. I also do not like both parts in the same book. We will have to buy another copy of each anyway; they should have made separate parts for each instrument for the sake of page turns if nothing else.

I've used the Last Resort Music for two (and for Three, and for Four) many times for wedding music in string solo, duet, trio, and quartet ensembles. It is very versatile and gets the job done every time. Good for putting together a program quickly with people who practice together once and then play the gig.

We were very disappointed in the quality of this arrangement. It was boring, simplistic, and some of the parts hardly seemed to work. Possibly the problem was that the parts were overly simplified to make it into music beginning level. It is definitely not suitable for more serious chamber musicians. In addition, the music came as a score and did not have separate parts. Musicians would need to buy two.
