English composer Frank Bridge is perhaps better known today for having taught composition to Benjamin Britten than for his own compositions, which is a shame, because he wrote many beautiful works. A violist himself, chamber music was always close to Bridge's heart. This Piano Quintet is one of a substantial number of chamber pieces, most of them for string ensembles or strings and piano.
This edition is a reprint of the 1919 Augener Edition. It contains parts for two violins, viola, and cello, as well as a piano score. Published by Lauren Publications.
