J.S. Bach's Italian Concerto, originally titled Concerto after the Italian Taste, was published in 1735 for solo two-manual harpsichord. It remains one of Bach's most popular works, partly for the outstanding polyphony throughout the piece. It is for this reason also that the piece translates so well to string quartet the Italian Concerto sounds like it was composed for the medium.
For String Quartet, Set of Parts. Published by Broadbent & Dunn.
