Tomaso Albinoni was the eldest son of a wealthy venetian paper merchant and largely famous for his Adagio which was reconstucted from an unpublished fragment in 1945. Regarded as comparable to Corelli and Vivaldi in his time, most of his works - including 81 operas - are now lost. However the instrumental literature that remains, including these Trio Sonatas show him to be an inventive, energetic master and deserving of study from any musician interested in Baroque music.
This edition contains the full score and parts for two violins, cello and Basso Continuo (realized by Martin Lutz). Published by Breitkopf & Hartel .
