Benjamin Dale's Suite for Viola and Piano, Op. 2, was one of several works he wrote for and dedicated to the great 20th-century violist Lionel Tertis. Dale, an English composer and music educator, composed much of his body of work as a fairly young man; the Suite for Viola and Piano was written in 1906, when he was just 21 years old. Despite his youth at the time of its writing, it is a serious work, and is today one of his better-remembered pieces.
This edition is a reprint of the 1913 Novello Edition. It contains Lionel Tertis' editorial markings. Published by Lauren Publications.
