Shar Mini Clip-On Tuner
Shar's new Mini Clip-On Tuner couldn't be simpler - just clip it onto your violin or viola pegbox, or cello bridge, press the power button, and tune! The LCD screen shows your note immediately, and lets you know whether you're flat or Sharp. Once you are in tune, the entire screen turns green. Small and reliable, your Shar Mini Clip-On Tuner fits easily anywhere in your case.

Great Product, Great Price
I ordered several of these for my orchestra class, and they are quite durable. Make sure your students know to set them to "Chro" for chromatic if you have mixed strings AND set to 440 before they start tuning. If I would change one thing about these tuners, it would be the inability to change the Hz frequency or instrument, since most clients using this affordable device will be using them for educational purposes.
Great violin tune
Great tuner for violin. Easy to read, easy to clip on the scroll. Super affordable and light weight. I use these are Stage all the time, because they are so easy and clear.
Great for violin
I purchased 20 of these for my middle school classroom. They work great on violin and my students love using them. My one complaint is that there are 2 settings (violin and chromatic) and it's really easy to accidentally switch back and forth. If it's set to violin, the screen will not turn green when the violas and cellists play their C strings, which makes it a little confusing for them. It does not work for bass.
Work fine, for a while
I use these in a public school string program, and they work fine, until you drop them. Of the 8 I ordered, 3 still work after a year of use.
Great little tuner!
My students love watching for the flashing green when their strings are in tune. I love that we can tune with other noises in the background. Works great clipping onto the bridge also.
Not very accurate...
Not very accurate and yet hardly worth packaging up to return. By "accurate", I mean hard to read the result on the tiny screen. Not so user-friendly as my Korg electronic tuner, and difficult to clip on.
Great cello tuner - buy a bunch.
My cello students clip it to the bridge and just have to remember to keep it set to "Chro." I keep one clipped to my studio stand, one clipped to my home stand, and one in the small pouch of stuff I take onstage: rosin, cloth, Black Hole, spare strings, and this tuner.
