we love these strings on MJZ violin

I bought this to replace the PI strings that came with my daughter's MJZ violin that we bought from Sharmusic. PI is too pricy for us even though the authority told us that they tested many strings on the specific violin (not sure if they tested them on all or just selected violins). I have always wanted to try Obligato strings after I heard the sound of another student's violin using obligato. We had been using dominant from the very beginning, they sound great but a few years before we got this MJZ violin, dominant strings broke like crazy, unlike in the past they lasted for at least over a year. TheOobligato strings make my daughter's violin less bright, which we both prefer. The G string is powerful and sound darker and deep, yet sweet and pleasing. A and D are darker, too. E sounds sweet and not ear piercing like some other steel strings yet full of strength (I don't prefer gold strings, tried that once with another brand on my Gliga violin and the sound that came out of it pierced my ear, I immediately took it off). We have these strings on the MJZ violin for 11 months now, the strings still go on strong and sweet! Love it and will but these strings again for my daughter's violin!
