About This Item

The late, renowned pedagogue Shirley Givens’ Adventures in Violinland series for beginning violinists is widely respected and used. Her husband, equally renowned concert cellist and teacher Harry Wimmer, and co-editor of these wonderful books, has added a new Legacy Series, putting to new use the original pages from Shirley Givens’ 24 titles.

Book L 1, ”Song for All Seasons", is a compilation of songs found in these books, but arranged in seasonal order. They can be enjoyed by children no matter what violin method they are using. Some are folk songs, others are by well-known composers. Most may even be played as duets with their student friends or you, the teacher!
