Meinel Pernambuco Cello Bow

I play in a cello choir and l wanted to have an extra bow. I decided to pick this one because it was a teacher pick. I did not want a carbon fiber bow because l felt l needed a little weight. It is lighter than the student Brazilian bows. When l first opened the package, l must admit, l was a little disappointed. It looked a little on the cheap side. I tried playing with it and still wasn't impressed. However, after l used Goldflex rosin, it sounded great. I really didn't realize how much rosin could make a difference but in this case it did. If you decide to order this bow, you may have to to experience with different rosin to produce the best sound. I plan on keeping this bow.
