The tradition of the master bowmaker is alive and well at the workshop of Johannes Finkel in Brienz, Switzerland. Mr. Finkels bowmaking heritage descends from his great-grandfather, Ewald Weidhaas, a craftsman from the renowned workshop of Victor Fetique. It has passed through the hands of his grandfather, Paul Weidhaas and father, Siegfried Finkel. As a fourth generation bowmaker, Mr. Finkels devotion to incomparable craftsmanship and the fine traditions of bowmaking have placed him among the worlds pre-eminent living makers.
