About This Item

A powerful and well-balanced violin that may be appreciated by a solo player for its versatility and projection. The back is of two pieces of quarter sawn maple, with medium width flaming descending from the center joint. The top is of straight, fine grained spruce. Red-brown varnish over a golden ground.

Anton Stauber established his violinmaking workshop at the age of 24, in Cologne, Germany. He enjoyed a long career. Anton Stauber has a reputation for accurate and fine workmanship.
