About This Item

Upon his arrival to Chicago after emigrating from Poland, Bronislaw (Bronek) Cison has proven to be a fine contemporary maker. Known equally for his violins as his violas and celli, his instruments can be heard in the Chicago and Dallas Symphony Orchestras. Bronek received his training in Poland from master maker Andrzej Bednarksi and now works for a shop in Chicago.

Favoring the soloist, this example of Bronek's work is based off a Strad pattern which offers clarity, while not completely ignoring the wonderful overtones a musician looking for complexity of tone would expect.
