I travel a great deal in Wyoming. Some times the temperature changes can create problems with keeping an instrument tuned. Since purchasing this cushy cover my tuning problems have disappeared. I didn't realize how handy the backpack feature of this cover would be. How did I get along so long without this? This cover provides ample storage that my Protec case was never able to offer. This purchase has exceeded my expectations. Usually a Five Star Rating is impossible for me to give any product. However this case cover truly deserves this rating.

Pleasantly surprised. The size, heft, and sturdiness, are not appreciated in the picture. My oblong American case fits inside very well and secure. Foam padding all around. Outside pockets are roomy. Zipper is sturdy. I think it will protect my violin and case well. Plan to use it as a backpack for my violin when I travel by motorcycle.

Pros: Better insulation than the case alone -- protects from extremes of humidity & temperature. Cons: No rings to attach a shoulder strap. Backpack straps are very long & dangle on the ground when I walk -- could trip up someone shorter than I (5'8").

This case is huge! much bigger than it appears on pqper. It is for my grand-daughter and is almost big enough to put her inside it too! I don't know if this will work or not.

I was searching for a budget-conscious case cover that would provide extra protection to my violin during transport, and during crazy temperature extremes (sometimes a 40 degree change of temperature in a 12 hour time span). This is The Case Cover that meets those needs! There is plenty of padding in the cover's construction. Added bonuses include multiple zippered pouches for music, 3-ring binder, instrument supplies (shoulder rest, reading glasses), and even a stand light! Seriously - I've been able to fit all those things together in the zippered pouches. Lastly, and I wasn't certain I would like the backpack feature, is that after a few short weeks of usage, I wonder how I managed so many decades without the backpack feature. It seems to be a highly ergonomic method for physically carrying a large number of various items (instrument included) with the weight evenly distributed across the entire back. In contrast, before I had the Cushy Deluxe, I was constantly shifting along with instrument in one hand (or over a shoulder) and a bookcase/purse/etc. over the other - and experiencing shoulder, arm and wrist pains from the effort. The Cushy Deluxe has totally eliminated those issues for me. Students and professionals alike should find this case cover backpack to be a great addition to their equipment setup.

I was glad to find a high quality cover for my violin case, the outer cover of the original case was falling apart. The Cushy has nice pockets and is made of strong material, good zipper, etc. My only complaint is that the case looks huuge! Most people think I am carrying a viola.

I got this to keep my instrument safe in the NYC winters, it does the job but completely negates the benefits of my as-light-as-possible carbon fiber case. I'm pretty sure I can climb inside this thing.

The violin cover I bought seems too big for my violin case,(dimensions are 31X10 X 5) and it actually fits my viola case much better (dimensions are 31X12X 5.5) . So my advice is be sure you know the dimensions of your violin case before ordering.
